We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Automotive Controller to join our team. This role requires a professional with a strong understanding of the automotive industry, coupled with financial acumen. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial and accounting operations of our automotive business. This includes but is not limited to, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, monthly reporting, and maintaining a strong financial control environment. The Automotive Controller will work closely with the management team to drive business performance and profitability.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Automotive Controller to join our team. This role requires a professional with a strong understanding of the automotive industry, coupled with financial acumen. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial and accounting operations of our automotive business. This includes but is not limited to, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, monthly reporting, and maintaining a strong financial control environment. The Automotive Controller will work closely with the management team to drive business performance and profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all financial aspects of the dealership, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and control systems.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, providing detailed insights into the business's financial performance.
- Utilize CDK software for financial management and reporting.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with management to establish budgets and financial projections.
- Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage internal controls.
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
- Ensure the maintenance of appropriate financial procedures and systems necessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate accounting controls and services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the automotive industry.
- Proficiency in CDK software and other financial management software.
- Strong understanding of dealership finance and insurance procedures.
- Proficient in preparing income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Excellent financial and analytical abilities with solid knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis.
- Proven leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present and explain financial information in a clear manner.
- Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
- Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation.
