Job DescriptionCertified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Surgical Technologist is needed to assist during surgical procedures by maintaining a sterile field and providing necessary instrumentation to the surgical team. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, this role ensures a safe operating room environment and supports high-quality patient care. This is a travel position, with a 13-week duration, located in Silverthorne, CO, working day shifts on a 3x12 schedule with guaranteed 32 hours per week. A May start date is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply expertise in sterile and aseptic techniques following AORN standards during invasive surgical procedures.
- Inspect surgical items for packaging integrity, sterility indicators, and expiration to ensure safety and compliance.
- Monitor and maintain the sterile field, addressing contamination or interference promptly.
- Develop competency in Tier 1 surgical cases and assist with room turnovers and patient transports.
- Communicate effectively with the perioperative team, actively participating in briefings and debriefings.
- Prepare instruments for terminal sterilization and contribute to a culture of safety and professionalism.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, maintaining HIPAA compliance at all times.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program or equivalent.
- Licensed Surgical Technologist in the state of Colorado.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
- Proficient in English with basic computer skills to complete mandatory online requirements.
- Ability to meet physical demands including standing, walking, lifting up to 35 lbs, and bending.
