Warehouse and Facilities Specialist

Position Summary:  Receives, unpacks, checks and stores merchandise or materials.  

Principal Responsibilities:

• Receives and logs merchandise.

• Works with the Warehouse Team to maintain facilities.

• Packs, crates and ships products and materials.

• Is familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures in the warehouse.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:  Required - High school diploma

Experience:  1-2 years in a related area

Physical Requirements:  May require: physical effort (lift/carry up to 80 lbs.); pulling and pushing of objects, occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching; Must be able to hear, see, and respond adequately; use of hands and fingers; Frequent prolonged standing.

Environmental Demands:  Works in temperature controlled environment with possible exposure to biological and chemical hazards.  May be required to operate fire and safety equipment or follow other safety procedures in an emergency situation.  May be required to work with time constraints and in crisis situations.
