Job Description

Our client, is seeking a Statistician - Summer Intern to join their team. As a Statistician - Summer Intern, you will be part of the R&D Statistics team supporting research and analytical projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, independence, and effective communication, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Statistician - Summer Intern

Location:St. Louis, MO (onsite preferred; limited remote consideration for strong candidates)

What's the Job?

  • Collaborate with senior statisticians on research projects involving pet data and statistical modeling.
  • Develop and implement analytics automation to enhance workflow efficiency and reproducibility.
  • Support experimental design, power analysis, and statistical methodology application.
  • Present project findings to cross-functional teams, including applied nutrition and behavior groups.
  • Contribute to high-impact analytical and methodological projects supporting pet care research.

What's Needed?

  • Currently enrolled in a PhD program or final year of graduate studies in Statistics, Biostatistics, or related fields; Master’s candidates considered.
  • Proficiency in R and/or Python; SQL experience is a plus.
  • Solid foundation in statistical methods such as linear/nonlinear mixed effects models, experimental design, and power/sample size calculations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong communication skills.
  • Eligible to work in the United States for the duration of the internship.
